Matvey underwent two complex surgeries in the USA, one of which helped to reduce spasticity, and the other improved the condition of his legs. However, for full recovery, he needs regular and intensive rehabilitation in specialized centres. Matvey’s mother, who is also ill with diabetes and raises Matvey and his sister alone, cannot work because her entire life is devoted to caring for her son. She has already spent all her savings on the surgeries and sold her home to pay for Matvey’s treatment. But without rehabilitation, for which there are no more funds, all previous efforts may be in vain.
The rehabilitation is scheduled to begin on 28.8. The amount needed is 3,490 euros.
