Sometimes this is the most important way of helping!<br \/>\nThe life and health of a child nowadays often depends on money. This is especially true for children from the FSU states. The treatment abroad, medications, transport \u2013 all of this is not covered by health insurance and costs a lot of money, which most people don\u2019t have. And there is hardly any time to collect these resources. When the child is expected in the clinic and it is all about hours and minutes then your money gives him a chance! You can literally save someone\u2019s life!<br \/>\n<a class=\"diakonia-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.orthodiakonia.de\/en\/donate\/\">Donate now!<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Support with prayer<\/h3>\n<p>By pleading with God and showing our love we help good things and miracles to happen.<br \/>\nNothing in this world happens without God\u2019s will. In difficult moments such as an illness, especially the illness of a child, a person has the option to either get closer to God or turn away from him.  We ask you to support our children with a prayer and a kind word! We maintain a list of names of the people who need it and update it every month.<br \/>\n<a class=\"diakonia-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.orthodiakonia.de\/en\/prayerlist-2\/\">See the prayer list<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Sponsor<\/h3>\n<p>A continuous and severe illness drains the family not only psychologically, but also financially.<br \/>\nIn such a family there is no resource for a career. Even if the child has a mother and a father and his relatives, his parents will not be able to work properly. In this situation buying clothes, products, transport costs and other everyday life expenses become a heavy chore. To help these families we are looking for sponsors, who could take them for a prolonged period of time under their care so that the parents can focus on the most important thing &#8211; the treatment of their child!<br \/>\n<a class=\"diakonia-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.orthodiakonia.de\/en\/about-us\/contact\/\">Contact us<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Help with accommodation<\/h3>\n<p>Sometimes it is also the case that living in the hospital is too expensive for the family. To fullfil a wish of a severely ill child is a true blessing.\n\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n\n<h3>Become a volunteer<\/h3>\n\n\nA volunteer is a person who helps others. Cost-free and voluntary, but not at all less responsibly. \nVolunteers visit those who are in pain and need \u2013 the ill children, their mothers and fathers, the lonely and helpless. Volunteers visit clinics, spend time with the children, draw with them, organise little shows and competitions, sing songs and celebrate birthdays, show magic tricks and blow soap bubbles, think of a million different things that can bring joy to an ill child which leads to his recovery! Apart from visiting the child in the hospital there are many other things that volunteers do! Volunteers pick up from the airport, phone up foundations and instances, buy and bring necessities, help to communicate in a foreign language with the doctors, transfer information through social networks and blogs, organise concerts and fares, knit, craft, bake pies for the fares, and so on. There are many different types of volunteers and there are never enough of them.\nJoin us! We also need a qualified verbal translator during the treatment of the patient and for important meetings with doctors. In some cases we have the possibility to partially pay for this help.\n\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n\n<h3>Offer professional help<\/h3>\n\n\nAre you a lawyer, a hair stylist or an artist? \nMany of the people we look after and their families require help of a professional: lawyer, psychologist, journalist and many more. Often a lot depends on their prompt and qualified help. If a person is stuck to a wheelchair it doesn\u2019t mean that he doesn\u2019t need a stylish haircut or a beautiful dress! If he is suffering from cancer and spends most of his life with the walls of the clinic it doesn\u2019t mean that he doesn\u2019t have a chance to become a great artist or guitarist!
