JULY–AUGUST 2025

Dear friends,
We sincerely thank all of you who continue to support us — with your good deeds, donations, prayers, and participation. Thanks to you, we are able to keep helping families who find themselves in the most difficult circumstances.

Last month, with your assistance, we could help:

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our regular and generous donors – we were able to help Nastya Prutik, 10 years old, Grodno, Belarus, Ewing’s sarcoma. Sadly, a relapse was diagnosed, and the issue with prosthetics has been postponed. The funds collected were used for urgent and life-saving targeted therapy. Please pray for this girl!
Thanks to your support, part of the radiotherapy treatment was covered for Kostya Belyansky, 8 years old, Khabarovsk, who has been fighting cancer for 5 out of his 8 years of life.

And thanks to everyone who responded to the request to support the family in Grodno! The mother of Sasha and Pasha, 15 years old, cerebral palsy, still needs both material and moral support. The main tasks now are to sell their apartment, to find the remaining amount for a new home, and to pay back the debts. If anyone is interested in buying an apartment in Grodno, this could become mutual help.

This month, the following children especially need your support:

DARYA YERMAK, 14 years old, Belarus. Diagnosis: osteosarcoma of the femur, stage II
In 2021, the family already turned to us for help. Thanks to your generous support, Darya was treated at Helios Berlin-Buch and went into remission. For several years she regularly came for check-ups, and it seemed the illness was behind her. Unfortunately, in June 2025, a new malignant lesion was found in her femur. Doctors recommend removing the affected bone and installing a temporary endoprosthesis, to be later replaced with a permanent one. The clinic has issued a bill that the family cannot cover.
Let’s give Darya hope for a happy life! Amount needed: €37,820.
TAISIYA GOMENYUK, 1 year old, Moldova. Diagnosis: oncology, relapse.
Taisia and her mother came to Germany almost a year ago for treatment. At that time, we transferred funds collected for another child, with the parents’ blessing, and treatment worked: Taisia went into remission. Every three months she came for an MRI and blood tests.
But in June 2025, the tumor began to grow again — Taisia had a relapse. All examinations are done, ahead are 6 rounds of chemotherapy and surgery.
The family is in despair and urgently needs help so little Taisia has a chance to fight for her life.
Amount needed: €100,000.
MARK VASILTSOV, 4 years old, Belarus. Diagnosis: bilateral retinoblastoma (cancer of both eyes).
We have already supported Mark before. In 2021, he was diagnosed with eye cancer. Treatment in Minsk failed, but therapy in Switzerland stabilized his condition.
Now Mark urgently needs a genetic test to confirm or revise earlier Belarusian results, which the professor doubts. The outcome of this test will determine the future course of treatment.
The clinic has issued an invoice of €3,000.
The Volunteer Day will finally take place in Montenegro on October 18–19, 2025. Everyone interested in helping others is welcome: both experienced volunteers and newcomers! The theme: How to avoid burnout and become more effective in communication with those we care for.
We will support each other, share experiences, discuss challenges and successes, get professional guidance, and undergo training. There will also be a chance to put skills into practice during the following DobroMore Rehabilitation Camp.
More details and registration: orthodiakonia.de/dv2025

We also invite volunteers and workshop leaders to join the DobroMore Rehabilitation Camp, October 20–26. Details can be found at dobromore.eu.
Dear friends, please continue to stay with us.

HURRY TO DO GOOD!
Warm hugs,
Yours, Alina Titova
