NOVEMBER 2019

Dear friends, thank you for your help and participation! We are glad to give again the opportunity to all wishing to help the children in distress.

In the previous month, with your help, we were able to pay a year stay at the clinic for family of Dima Sherstobaev, 10 years old, oncology, and also get funding for treatment from the charity funds for Kirill Gorokhov, 3 y.o., VPS, Stepan Tyshkov, 10 y.o, a rare vessel pathology, Ruslan Varushin, 2 years, kidney cancer, Arina Goncharova, 5 y.o., kidney cancer, Svetlana Zakharyan, 3.5 y.o., oncology, Daniil Lihodeenko, 7 y.o., a complex CNS malfunction, for a total sum of about EUR 75,000.

Vanya Timashev, Russia (St. Petersburg), 4 y.o., Diagnosis: pharmaco-resistant focal structural epilepsy.
Vanya is the long-coveted second child in the family. At the age of 2.5 months, Vanya has suffered an extensive cerebral hemorrhage due to the lack of vitamin K (it is not given to newborns in Russia). An emergency operation was performed, as a result the right hemisphere of the brain was practically lost and the paralysis of the left side of the body has developed. At the age of 9 months, another diagnosis came – that is epilepsy. For a year, they managed to stop the attacks with medication. But at some point, the medications ceased to help, and now the attacks occur several times a day. Local doctors and tests did not reveal epi-activity in the child. The family turned to the German clinic Schon in the city of Vogtaroit, where an examination was carried out and a diagnosis was made with the recommendation for a surgery to separate the cerebral hemispheres.
Despite his difficult diagnosis, Vanya is able to walk on his own, eat and talk. He attends a special kindergarten, music classes, a speech therapist, goes to the pool and for hippotherapy. Vanya is a very social, musical, positive and courageous boy. But, in order for him to develop and live a full life, an urgent surgery is required.
They need EUR 50,572.
Masha Ruzavina, 9 years old, Russia (Irkutsk region). Diagnosis: congenital epidermolysis bullosa, dystrophic form.
We know Masha for a long time. She was one of the first to whom the Diaconia “Good Deed” has helped in 2012, at the very beginning of our development. Then Masha was a tiny baby, almost without skin. She and her family have to go a harsh way to deal with an incurable disease. Owing to the efforts of the parents and help of kind people, amazing results have been achieved. Now she is a beautiful girl who loves to study, goes to school and plays the piano. We are glad that we were able to help then, and we hope that we can help now.
The disease has not gone, the fight is going on. Masha’s body is covered with wounds that hurt and itch. During her short life, she has already undergone several operations to expand the esophagus, and reorganize the oral cavity. Another complication of the disease is the contracture of the fingers, the fingers stuck to each other like mittens. Masha needs an urgent operation NOW.
The Freiburg Clinic billed 33,510 euros for the hand operation.
Masha also constantly requires expensive dressings, mainly UrgoTul dressings, which can be bought in Europe. She requires either money for dressings (about 1000 euros per month) or the dressings themselves (80 UrgoTul dressings size 15-20 or 10-40).
Victoria Vakatova, 10 y. o., Moscow, scoliosis, congenital spine deformation.
She is another child we helped years ago. Vicki’s spine doesn’t hold it itself, it is supported by a special metal structure installed in a Swiss clinic. Now we are raising funds for another operation for Victoria to correct the scoliosis. She needs a new metal structure to be installed since the old one was temporary and has served its term of 5 years. Now it no longer holds back the scoliosis. The spine rotation caused the upper mount of the structure to broke through the skin, and this wound bleeds. The structure in the Vicki’s back that holds her can break at any moment …
The mother raises the funds, yet the amount required is large, and time is short. The operation is scheduled for December 5th. It remains to collect EUR 53,400.
The next DobroMore family rehabilitation program period will be held in March 10-22 in Budva. We plan to hold two program periods per year in Montenegro and two in Sochi, Russia.
To keep in touch, subscribe to our pages in FB and Instagram, and also follow the website dobromore.eu
The program purpose is not only for the rehabilitation of the care-receivers, but also for the training and development of the volunteers, the acquisition of real skills to work with the care-receivers and mastering the tools that make such work effective. The recruitment of the care-receiver families and the volunteers is open. Please fill in the forms at dobromore.eu

HURRY TO MAKE GOOD!
I heartily embrace everyone
Yours Alina Titova
