Cologne, 20-5-2021

Our volunteers in Cologne congratulated our care-receiver Dima on his birthday. Unfortunately, visiting and communicating with the patients under treatment are still prohibited due to the epidemiological situation. The gift that Dima dreamed of – a large Lego construction set – was given by the volunteers through his mother.
Congratulations, Dima, and we wish you all the very best!

Farewell to Koraev family

From our volunteers from Cologne: “Recently we saw our care-receivers, the Korayev family, off home to North Ossetia. We made a real friendship with them over the years they spent here. Their beautiful daughter Kamila (baptized Elizabeth) was being treated in Cologne. The disease receded for a while but, alas, always came back again. A year ago, here in Cologne, our Kamila passed away to the Lord. Let the bright little angel be in the Kingdom of Heaven! We will always remember her. All our volunteers loved to play with Camila. She had inexhaustible inspiration and a lot of creative ideas and wished. We have visited our friends, her parents and younger brother, on the anniversary of her departure. We watched photos, videos, and remembered Kamila. We were smiling and crying at the same time. The next day the family flew home. And now we hope to visit them someday in their beloved Ossetia “.

There are caring, sympathetic people, unable to pass by, always ready to help and support. They hold the world together. It is not easy to ask for help. This is why all the good sent to you and needed for life, is so valuable !
On behalf of entire Rusetsky family from Belarus, we would like to express our deep gratitude to Diakonia Good Deed charity organization for the help in our struggle for the life of Ilya. Thank you, all volunteers who helped us for three months to translate documents, negotiate with clinics in Germany, and provided legal and financial assistance ! Thanks to you, we were able to find a cure for the disease with all the complications. With all my heart I bow down to you ! We wish a great future to your foundation !

APRIL 2021

Spring is in full swing. So we have more and more strength for good deeds! Thank you for being with us and carrying on with helping people around!
With your help, in March we have managed to fully or partially pay for the treatment of:
Mark Badanin, 3 years old, Belarus, liver cancer,
Natalia Gergel, 62 years old, Ukraine, breast cancer,
Elizaveta Savelyeva, 12 years old, Ukraine, epileptic encephalopathy.

The volunteers of Diakonia groups in Germany have visited families who arrive for the treatment, helped with translation at appointments with doctors, and taken them to church. In March, the assistance was provided to several dozen families. An excerpt from the report of one of the groups: “We have prepared for the arrival of the family of G.: we got a folding bed, kitchen utensils, purchased food and prepared lunch for the arrival, and met them at the airport.” Our volunteer translators have translated 34 pages of medical documents in March.
Thanks to everyone who helps and supports!

In April, our help is expected by: Read more
