FEBRUARY 2021

Dear friends, in January we have helped to purchase medical equipment and simulators for Eva Grabovskaya, 3 years old, Russia, neuroblastoma, Sasha and Pasha Sanyukevich, 10 years old, Belarus, cerebral palsy; Fedya Emelyanov, 4 years old, Russia, cerebral palsy, Ilona Glamozda, 5 years old, Belarus, and also pay for the first stage of treatment for Andrei Turov, 4 years old, Russia, Ewing sarcoma. Thank you for your help!
Some of the medical equipment was not yet sent to their owners. If you have the opportunity to help us deliver it to Russia and Belarus, write to us as soon as possible!

In February, the help is awaited by:

Milana Volkova, 3 years old, Vladimir, Russia.
Diagnosis: HLHS(heart disease)
Milana was born with an underdeveloped heart. Right after the birth, the baby was operated on. Two more operations in Germany have followed. Milana is growing and developing, but the right side of her body has been badly damaged by a stroke. The baby loves to draw, sculpt, read and put puzzles together. Parents are actively involved with development of their daughter. Milana walks very little, gets tired quickly, shortness of breath appears, blood oxygen saturation drops. She needs to have the final Fontaine surgery as soon as possible so that the girl can survive. Milena is expected for the treatment at the Bonn clinics. Parents cannot raise funds for the operation on their own, the bulk of their income is spent on maintaining the necessary level of development of their daughter and paying off the debts for previous operations. The price of the operation is EUR 65,000.

Victoria Mayer, 3 years old, Hamburg
Diagnosis: NKH (non-ketotic hyperglycemia), scoliosis.
Little Victoria has a very rare metabolic disease: the girl must take medications several times a day to protect her brain from destruction, that for the whole life. The baby suffers from convulsions and epileptic seizures. The corset helps her cope with scoliosis. In order to develop and be able to move, she needs regular rehabilitation. The regular therapy helps, there are positive changes – the girl has begun to see toys, to touch the toys and laugh. She has learned to play lying on her back. Vika has begun to see her mother!
Vika sleeps with a monitoring device, since in her sleep she can have a respiratory arrest and convulsions. She needs constant care and supervision. The mother is with her daughter around the clock. The farther is employed, but they do not get enough money for everything. EUR 1,500 is required for a rehabilitation course in Tera Reha.

Eldar Eldarov, 16 years old, Chechnya, Russia.
Diagnosis: cerebral palsy
As a result of an injury sustained during the birth, Eldar has cerebral palsy. Year after year going, the regular rehabilitations, exercises and perseverance of Eldar and his mother are giving positive results. Two surgeries have been performed on his legs. Now Eldar can walk with a stick around the house. For the results not to be lost, for Eldar to walk on his own, he requires every year a rehabilitation course in a specialized rehabilitation center.
The doctors at Thera Reha in Ratingen believe that the physical therapy combined with acupuncture will be more effective for Eldar. The course costs EUR 600, that the family does not have.

Nikita Rutvyan, 11 years old, Ukraine, Kiev
Diagnosis: tracheostomy, gastrostomy.
As a child, Nikita has got severe burns of the respiratory tract. They have to install two pipes for him to breathe. The post-burn scars have squeezed the lumen in the nasopharynx, so Nikita cannot breathe and eat on his own. It is difficult for him to speak. Every month Nikita under anesthesia undergoes the procedures to widen the lumen. But these procedures give short-term results only. An operation is required, which the doctors in Ukraine cannot do. Israeli doctors are ready to do this at Ichilov clinic. They planned to eliminate post-burn scars, restore normal lumen for breathing and eating. $15,000 is required for the operation and $10,000 for the accommodation for several months. The funds for the operation have been raised. However, the family is not able to raise funds for the accommodation. The mother has four children besides Nikita.

HURRY TO DO GOOD!
I wish health to you all! Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
I embrace you heartily,
Yours Alina Titova
