NOVEMBER 2024

Dear friends, thank you for your support!
This month, we held the Dobromore rehabilitation camp in Montenegro. More information can be found on the website dobromore.eu and on our YouTube channel: @dobromore2019. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
We also helped pay for the treatment of Alexander Akhremenko, 2 years old, Russia, diagnosis: binocular retinoblastoma.

This month our help is required by:

LEONID FILYUKOV, 1 year old, Russia, Elektrostal. Diagnosis: eye cancer.
Little Leonid was diagnosed with retinoblastoma right after birth and was transferred to an eye clinic. He has undergone six courses of general chemotherapy, three courses of laser treatment, and two selective intra-arterial chemotherapies. Unfortunately, due to the lack of specialized equipment for layered retina examination, doctors cannot detect relapses in time, which have occurred several times. The necessary equipment and treatment are available at the Jules Gonin Eye Hospital in Switzerland. Leonid visited the hospital for an examination and started treatment. However, to continue, the family needs financial support as they have exhausted all resources. We need to raise 59,000 euros.
YANA LABUN, 14 years old, Russia, Abakan. Diagnosis: heart defect.
Since birth, Yana has been treated at the Asklepios Clinic in St. Augustin, Germany, and has undergone several surgeries. Thanks to this, she can live a normal life, study, and develop. Now, she urgently needs treatment, and the Heart Center in Bonn is ready to admit her. The family managed to secure funding for the treatment through various foundations, but the journey to Germany is complicated, involving multiple transfers. They need assistance to cover travel and hotel expenses, amounting to about 1,000 euros.
KSENIA MUZYCHENKO, 5 years old, Belarus, Gomel. Diagnosis: cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, grade 4 disability, delayed speech and mental development, limb contractures.
Ksenia is the first and dearly loved child in her family. During birth, she suffered a severe injury, and since then, her family has been fighting the consequences and her challenging diagnosis. She has undergone multiple rehabilitation courses in Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine, each bringing positive results. A significant milestone in her development could be a stem cell transplant, which has shown promising results. Ksenia is currently in a three-month medication preparation period, ending in November 2024. The family requests help for the stem cell transplant at the LIV Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. The bill amounts to 25,400 euros, and 12,200 euros are still needed.
We are looking for volunteers!
Helping is not limited to visiting children in hospitals. You can support us even from a distance! If this is your situation, reach out to us! We need volunteers for our Fundraising Department and Media Department.

Action GIFT
The wonderful pre-Christmas time is approaching, and we invite you to create a miracle with your own hands! Excerpts from our beneficiaries’ letters to Father Frost will be published on our website. Anyone can become a Father Frost or a Christmas Angel by donating the necessary amount (with the note “Gift” and the child’s name) or buying a gift and delivering it through our volunteers to a child in the hospital.
Details are available at orthodiakonia.de.

Hurry to do good!
Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
