OCTOBER 2021

Hello everyone,
In September, we have helped to pay for treatment and related expenses to Anna Abramova, 8 y. o., heart defect, and Ivan Ibragimov, 12 y. o., myelodysplastic syndrome. Here is a letter from Anya’s mother about their success.
Greetings!
Anna just underwent an endovascular surgery, whereby a complete examination of the heart and blood vessels was performed. The necessary manipulations have been done to dilate her blood vessels and eliminate stenosis.
As usual, Anna’s operation has lasted for about 4 hours. Now her condition has already stabilized. The blood oxygen saturation is above 83%. She has to come in 10 days for a check on an outpatient basis.
We thank your organization for your help and support, we really appreciate that in the difficult period for our family you gave a helping hand to us!
May Lord God protect you!
Respectfully yours, Svetlana

Dear friends, thank you for your support! This success would not be achieved without you!

In October, our help is awaited by:

Egor Otekin, 4 y. o., Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia, complex heart disease: pulmonary atresia, pulmonary valve atresia.
During the pregnancy, at the week 32, the baby was diagnosed with a cardiac pathology. Immediately after the birth, little Egor had to undergo several operations step-by-step. The first one was successfully done in Berlin in 2019. The next one was performed in Barcelona in May 2021. The surgeons made 2 operations in one: a radical correction of the defect has been done. As a result, Egor now has normal blood circulation in his heart, the blood oxygen saturation has increased. On the same day, the boy began to breath on his own. But, unfortunately, there were complications after the operation. Egor got a severe pneumonia. It went bad: mechanical ventilation, anesthesia, drainage for the outflow of fluid from the lungs, a long stay in intensive care. As a result, the bill for the treatment has significantly grown. A charity fund and the sponsors have helped to pay off the debt partially. But at the moment, the amount owed is still too big for the family: EUR 16,232.

Alina Kupriyanova, 8 years old, Krasnodar, Russia.
Diagnosis: congenital heart disease (CHD), cerebral palsy (CP), bilateral deafness of 4th grade, choroid coloboma, partial optic nerve atrophy (PASN).
Alina was born prematurely with a heart defect. She underwent a heart surgery at the 3rd day of her life . After the operation, there was a long and difficult postoperative period. The doctors did not dare to give any good predictions. But the strong girl Alina got it through, despite a bunch of diseases. She and her mother went a long way in finding a suitable rehabilitation program, doctors, teachers, physiotherapy and speech therapy specialists. And now the girl sits on her own, stands with a support.
The next goal is to walk on her own. Yet this requires rehabilitation at Kameny center, Teplice (Czech Republic). Alina and her mother have already undergone rehabilitation in this center, which has given good results.
The mother brings up the girl alone, the bulk of her income goes to regular home classes for her daughter. Rehabilitation in Czech Republic costs 6,000 euros.
Sergei Derkach, 30 y. o., Ternopil region, Ukraine, hemangioendotheliopericytoma in the retroperitoneal space with a spread to the spinal canal.
Sergei has been fighting for his health for 20 years. An operation was performed in Ukraine, then another one in Israel, where he had the first vertebra of the lumbar spine removed and an implant installed. But the implant has failed. Sergei was not able to walk for several years. After a long search, he was able to find the specialists able to help him in Dresden, Germany. For several years, the family was raising money for the operation. It was held in August 2021. The operation turned out to be difficult, it lasted 10 hours. Sergei lost a lot of blood. The doctors straightened his spine, installed a new structure, and removed the failed implant. The complexity of the operation has led to the bill increase. The family still owes EUR 7,500 to the hospital.
In Dresden, a terrible misfortune has happened to the family: on the last day before leaving for Ukraine, on the way to the last check at the clinic, Sergei and his parents had a serious traffic accident. All three were admitted to the hospital, Sergei underwent a surgery. He still stays there. At the moment, with the participation of our volunteers and friends, the family is provided with most urgent moral, material and legal support. Yet the family would be grateful for your help!

HURRY TO DO GOOD!
I wish health to you all! Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
I embrace you heartily,
Yours Alina Titova
