On November 24, in Baden-Baden, on the territory of the church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, a charity bazaar was held for the sake of the care-receivers of the Russian Orthodox Diaconia “Good Deed”. After the Sunday Divine Liturgy, fresh hot pastries, pumpkin soup, pancakes, pies, sweets and hot drinks had been served to everyone. And on the shelves, the handmade products were waiting for the visitors: knitted socks and hats, handmade soap, lavender sachets, Christmas gift boots, exclusive print bags, women’s jewellery, cookies, honey, jam, books, rag dolls, handmade angel figures made by our parish children at Sunday school.

In the previous month, with your help, we were able to pay a year stay at the clinic for family of Dima Sherstobaev, 10 years old, oncology, and also get funding for treatment from the charity funds for Kirill Gorokhov, 3 y.o., VPS, Stepan Tyshkov, 10 y.o, a rare vessel pathology, Ruslan Varushin, 2 years, kidney cancer, Arina Goncharova, 5 y.o., kidney cancer, Svetlana Zakharyan, 3.5 y.o., oncology, Daniil Lihodeenko, 7 y.o., a complex CNS malfunction, for a total sum of about EUR 75,000.
I wish to express my deepest gratitude for the help in finding money for surgery to my boys, Yaroslav and Danil. Also, many thanks to Maxim Karagodin. He has spent the whole day with us in the clinic, and accompanied us to all rooms. I can’t even imagine what we would do without him. The surgeries were successful. We are already at home. Now there will be a restoration. They will begin to study soon: at the moment, only on Skype, since they still have to lie.
